why winter sessions still work
Everyone assumes winter means packing the camera away but honestly, some of my favourite sessions have been under soft cloudy skies. The light this time of year is gentle and even, the fields turn rich and green, and everything feels a little slower, a little calmer.
Because the weather can be unpredictable, I only take on a handful of sessions each winter. That way, if the rain rolls in, we can easily shift your date without stress. It’s all about keeping things relaxed; no rushing, no pressure, just space to create when the light feels right.
Winter sessions are perfect for cuddles, knit textures, and bare-foot little ones running through damp grass or boots stomping in muddy puddles. The tones are moodier, the connection deeper, and the photos? Timeless.
So if you’ve been thinking maybe we should wait for spring, don’t. Winter might just surprise you, it always surprises me.
