Preparing for your newborn session

The very first thing I tell every new parent is this: we’re on baby time.

Every newborn session begins slowly. There’s time to feed, to settle, to breathe. I’ll never rush you or your baby, that’s the beauty of my long sessions. The quiet, in-between moments are often where the real heartfelt moments hide.

If bub needs a feed, we stop. If you need a moment, we pause. I always start with warmth, calm music, and gentle movement until everyone feels settled. My goal isn’t picture-perfect; it’s connection, the way their tiny fingers wrap around yours, or how they tuck into your chest.

Bring your baby as they are: milk-drunk smiles, peeling skin and all. I’ll take care of the rest.
